About
A commercial practice in construction and finance.

Ruvina Kaur
Principal
RK Legal is a commercial law practice. My work sits primarily in two closely connected areas: contracts in the construction industry, and documentation in the finance space.
On the construction side, that means drafting and reviewing the agreements that projects run on — head contracts and subcontracts, consultancy and supply agreements, variations and settlement deeds. The focus is on where risk actually sits: payment and progress claims, time bars, extensions of time, liquidated damages, defects and security.
On the finance side, I review loan documentation for borrowers, guarantors and directors — facility agreements, guarantees, indemnities, mortgages and general security agreements — and provide independent legal advice where a lender requires it before settlement.
Every engagement is scoped and priced before it starts, with fixed fees where the work allows. The aim is straightforward: you understand what you are signing, and you sign it on time.
01
Commercial first
Advice framed around the deal you are trying to do, not a recital of the clauses you already have.
02
Plain English
Issues explained in terms you can take to a builder, a broker or a board — with a clear recommendation.
03
On the deadline
Construction and finance transactions move quickly. Scope, fee and turnaround are agreed before work begins.
